Designing
| 1. According to the load terms and span conditions fo girders, choose the right specification of grating with "designer's talbe". |

| 2. Deflection is no more than 1/200 in length for platform. Max 6mm in stairs treads |

| 1) The steel grating will not be deformed permanently when the designing load times 1.5 |
| 2) The steel grating will not break when the designing load times 3.0 |
| |
| 3. Designing: |
| |
| 1)Grating should cover its support frame no less than 25mm. |
2)Clearance:
10mm between two neighboring gratings or as specified
10mm between the grating and its neignboring structure or as specified |
| 3)The width of gratings on platforms (walkways) is no less than 300mm |

| Calculation of Gratings |
| 1. The weight of gratings will increase after welding to two end-plates and galvanizing. |
| For 30mm bearing-bars pithc, 12%; For 40mm bearing-bars pithc, 14% |
| For 60mm bearing-bars pithc, 18% |
2. The cut-outs will be on the expense of buyers;for irregular gratings,
the delivered gratings' area is calculated as shown below: |
| Fixing with saddle clips has the advantages of easy removal and not destroyling the zinc coating. At least four clips are required for each panel. A few more clips are recommended for larger panels |
| Type A includes a top clip with double saddle, a lower clip with teeth and a M8 inner-haxagon-circular-stud bolt. |
| Type B comprising a clip with double saddle,(of which one saddle can secure the two bearing bars of adjacent panels),a lower clip with teeth and an M8 inner-circular-stud bolt |
| Type C comprising a top clip with double saddle, and an M8 hexagon-headed bolt which can be welded to the support member |
